PROGRAM ANALYST SR PRINCIPAL

Oversee complex programs that drive impactful mission outcomes for our customers as a Program Analyst Sr Principal. Here, you’ll see the bigger picture on mission initiatives and where your program management career can go at GDIT.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Program Analyst Sr Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of New York State Department of Heath Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) activities at Corporate Woods in Albany, NY.

You will play a crucial role in making sure the work being delivered supports the customer’s goals, timeline and outcomes.  Your role is to translate the mission into execution.

As a Program Analyst Sr. Principal supporting the PMO team, you will be the primary connection between the project team and the stakeholders.   You will coordinate with business and technology teams to support the NYS MMIS (eMedNY). The successful candidate should be familiar with Agile and Waterfall Development methodologies, their cadence and best practices.

HOW A PROJECT ANALYST SR PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Develop, manage, and execute software development project plans, drive cross-functional team deliverables and schedules, and see projects through to completion and ensure that deadlines and requirements are met. 
  • Manage scope, review project status, and understand how to assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Identify and manage risks.
  • Provide definitive direction to drive efficiency in project execution and accuracy ensuring on-time delivery, and within budget.
  • Manage communication of progress to internal and external stakeholders and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Actively monitor project progress with an emphasis on problem solving.
  • Use project management tools and processes to keep the budget and timeline on track

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Program Analyst Sr Principal must have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Management Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • Required Experience:
    • 12+ years of project management or project coordination experience
    • 10+ years of overall experience in leading software implementation projects, which included development and delivery to customers
    • At least 7 years of experience project management frameworks and best practices and the systems and software development life cycle, including scope, schedule, and risk identification and management
    • Experience in Medicaid eligibility or Healthcare Processing Systems and Project Management Professional certification
  • Technical Skills: MS Project proficiency and IBM Rational Team Concert
  • Role Requirements:
    • Ability to problem solve independently
    • Team player able to work well with large and small teams including a mix of senior and junior analysts, project managers, developers and testers
    • Expert communications and presentation skills
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Prior experience as a project manager for Medicaid Management Information Systems in Design, Development, Implementation and in Operations and Maintenance program phases

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $129,813 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
