MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz. You will play a crucial role in performing all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, network, databases, and system baseline security.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in ensuring that accreditation packages are prepared and maintained in accordance with (IAW) the DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT).
• Maintain and assess artifacts and develop/refine COOP/DRP; System Security Plans and Standard Operating Procedures, Network Topologies, System Diagrams as needed to ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53 rev. 5 and CNSSI 1253.
• Ensure all Information Assurance (IA) and Security Controls for Assess and Authorize (A&A) are met and submitted to the Authorizing Official (AO) for an Authority to Operate (ATO) on all Garrison Systems of Record.
• Perform pre-validation A&A that includes performance of A&A testing and ACAS vulnerability scanning in order to validate IA policies; regulation; Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations and scanning.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
• Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; professional training or work experience.
• Experience: 3+ years of related experience
• Technical skills: Must possess certification IAW DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Framework proficiency at or above the Intermediate level for workforce role (722) Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
• Security clearance level: Active Secret Clearance Required - Must be eligible for Top Secret
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: This position may occasionally require some physical activity; lifting objects; bending; crouching down (i.e. to troubleshoot equipment); and long periods of sitting.
• Must be approved for German TESA.
