LOGISTICS ANALYST SENIOR

GDIT has an immediate career opportunity for a Logistics Analyst Senior specializing in procurement to join our Program Management Office (PMO) team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

As a member of the Procurement Operations team, you will support procurement activities that enable worldwide logistics readiness and mission execution. Your work will help ensure procurement actions are effectively integrated across Program Management, Supply Chain, Property Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Transportation, Finance, Contracts, and Government stakeholders, while maintaining compliance with customer requirements and acquisition regulations.

How a Logistics Analyst Senior Will Make an Impact

  • Supports procurement operations for worldwide logistics requirements across multiple customer locations.
  • Executes procurement activities as part of a collaborative team within the Program Management Office.
  • Participates in the procurement lifecycle from customer requirement through procurement closeout and invoice reconciliation.
  • Integrates procurement actions across Supply Chain Management, Property Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Transportation, Contracts, Finance, Strategic Acquisition Office (SAO), vendors, and Government customers.
  • Follows standardized procurement processes, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Delivers targeted training sessions for logisticians and managers on established procurement processes and procedures.
  • Supports procurement initiatives from planning through implementation under the guidance of procurement leadership.
  • Assist in establishing procurement priorities based on operational mission requirements and customer needs.
  • Identifies procurement risks, supports mitigation strategies, and helps resolve issues before operational impacts occur.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce procurement cycle times, improve quality, and enhance customer support.
  • Maintains procurement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Desktop Procedures, and internal process documentation.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports procurement performance metrics, identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Collaborates with team members and leadership to develop procurement strategies supporting worldwide mission requirements.
  • Supports demand forecasting, strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory optimization, cost reduction initiatives, and procurement planning.
  • Participates in procurement activities from sourcing, Request for Quote (RFQ) through procurement, receipt, financial reconciliation, and closeout.
  • Ensure procurement actions comply with FAR, DFARS, company policies, customer requirements, and Strategic Acquisition Office procedures.
  • Maintains working knowledge of procurement payment methods, purchasing card reconciliation, vendor management, and procurement reporting.
  • Supports accurate documentation and accountability for Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contract Acquired Property (CAP) throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Maintains knowledge of PIEE and associated Government property accountability processes.
  • Maintains working knowledge of CHESS, FEDLOG, FEDMall, AESIP, IGC, TMDE, Trade Compliance, and other Government logistics systems supporting procurement operations.
  • Develops meaningful procurement dashboards, operational metrics, and executive reports supporting informed decision-making.
  • Conducts internal assessments, identifies process deficiencies, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions.
  • Builds collaborative relationships across the PMO to ensure procurement activities remain synchronized with overall logistics operations.
  • Communicates effectively with Government customers, vendors, senior leadership, and internal stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Supports fast-paced worldwide operations while effectively managing multiple priorities and short suspense requirements.
  • Demonstrates initiative by taking ownership of assigned projects and driving them to successful completion.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your supply chain and logistics expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Logistics Analyst Senior must have:


● Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be substituted.


● Experience:

  • Eight (8) or more years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain management, acquisition, or program operations.
  • Experience supporting procurement operations for Department of Defense programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing procurement processes and supporting operational improvements.
  • Experience integrating procurement activities across multiple functional organizations.
  • Experience supporting projects from planning through implementation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting Worldwide Field Support or similar global logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of Government Furnished Property (GFP) accountability.
  • Experience with PIEE, CHESS, FEDLOG, FEDMall, AESIP, IGC, and TMDE.
  • Knowledge of Statement of Work (SOW), Bill of Materials (BOM), Sole Source Justifications (SSJ), Return Material Authorization (RMA), and Strategic Acquisition Office processes.
  • Knowledge of invoice schedule and payment terms.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or other process improvement/project management certification is desirable

● Security clearance level: Secret
● Role requirements: This is a hybrid position with a 3 days per week office requirement. National and International travel might be required within short notice.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
