CONFIGURATION ANALYST SENIOR

The Senior Configuration Analyst provides expert-level change and configuration management services in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). In this senior role, you will lead strategic, technical, and operational activities that support the design, development, engineering, integration, and employment of NIPRNET and SIPRNET components within the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).

You will serve as a senior contractor for Change and Configuration Management across Army enterprise environments, using the Enterprise Service Management System (ESMS) built on ServiceNow and other established processes, procedures, and tools. This full-time position supports an IT services contract located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Configuration Analyst Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of US Army NETCOM. You will play a crucial role in Change Control Management.

  • Lead strategic planning, execution, and oversight of network and application changes for deployment into NIPRNET and SIPRNET environments.

  • Provide high-level planning, design, development, engineering, integration, and operational support to NETCOM Change Control Boards (CCB), ensuring alignment with Army and DODIN strategic objectives.

  • Lead and mentor all IT Change Management resources, ensuring consistent application of change management principles, enterprise processes, and project leadership best practices.

  • Collaborate with change managers and leaders throughout NETCOM and the US Army.

  • Drive enterprise Change Management initiatives, including ITIL process maturation, solution design, and strategic implementation across IT Service Management platforms.

  • Utilize the configuration management system, ensuring it supports precise service management and operational decision-making.

  • Ensure full adherence to ITIL and Change Management processes across all organizational units, establishing governance standards and ensuring compliance at scale.

  • Conduct enterprise-level Change Management reviews for product and infrastructure teams, providing authoritative validation of readiness, compliance, and operational impact.

  • Identify, control, record, audit, and verify CIs, including versions, baselines, components, attributes, and relationships—covering artifacts such as Firewall Control Worksheets.

  • Maintain the configuration management system, ensuring it supports precise service management and operational decision-making.

  • Act as a senior integrator across ITIL processes including Change, Problem, Incident, and Service Level Management, ensuring unified execution across product and area teams.

  • Conduct long-range planning to support modernization efforts, reduce risk, and optimize operational outcomes for Army enterprise networks.

  • Coordinate, review, and maintain enterprise system documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

● Certification: Security+ or DoD 8570 equivalent
● Experience: 3+ years of related experience

● Security clearance level: Secret
● Role requirements: work is onsite at Fort Huachuca.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
