Job Description
SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Summary: System Engineer Senior, DCGS-A Subject Matter Expert - Fort Hood, TX - TS/SCI Clearance Required. Primarily supports software for the DCGS-Army Family of Systems: IFS, P-MFWS, GWS, TGS, CDSS to include future replacement systems.


HOW THE SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Initialize, place into operation and troubleshoot the software interfaces of specific C5ISR communication systems being supported (ex. IFS /P-MFWS/GWS/TGS/CDSS).
  • Conduct software installations, configurations, patching and maintenance of DCGS-A family of systems.  
  • Responsible for backup and disaster recovery of Linux and Windows operating systems.  
  • Provide informal training and software mentorship.
  • Provide software, hardware, network troubleshooting, problem identification, and resolution.  
  • Assist with remote system administration software to include troubleshooting and installation.    
  • Assists Information Assurance staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations.
  • Participates in special projects as required.  

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Engineer must have:
  • BA/BS, 5+ years experience. (4 years of additional work experience may be substituted for an BA/BS. Degree)
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and willing to obtain a CI Poly if required.
  • Valid CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows/Linux/VMWare server and client software, patching, upgrading, and maintaining.
  • Understanding of networking principles and system network configuration.
  • Some travel is required.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $88,130 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
