Job Description

Engineering Technician I

  • Lifting, positioning, and moving workpieces to assist with fitting and welding
  • Operating saws, grinders, and other tools to cut, shape, and prepare materials
  • Operation of various shop fabrication shop machinery such as drill presses, milling machines and Sandblast Booth
  • Working under the guidance of experienced fabricators and adhering to technical drawings
  • Help move and organize materials, including loading and unloading raw materials and maintaining work supplies.
  • Following safety procedures and guidelines while working in the fabrication shop
  • Basic mechanical aptitude: A basic understanding of how tools and machines work.
  • Attention to detail: The ability to carefully follow instructions and maintain precision in fabrication tasks.
  • Physical fitness: The ability to lift and move materials as needed.
  • Willingness to learn: A positive attitude and a desire to learn new skills and techniques.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior fabrication experience or completion of a relevant trade school or technical program
  • Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics.

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

1+ years of related experience

Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain Secret security clearance.

Must be a US Citizen

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $19.55 - $26.45. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
