As a Training Specialist Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). You will play a crucial role in offering substantive training, technical assistance, and support to the Medicaid States in a structured learning environment.

 

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

  • Support developing a comprehensive program of study addressing aspects of Medicaid program integrity including fraud investigation, data mining and analysis, case development, provider enrollment, and medical billing and coding.

  • Collaborate with State Medicaid program administrators and subject matter experts, federal policy and subject matter experts, and law enforcement officials.

  • Drive content that is responsive to state program integrity needs, highlights emerging trends and strategies, and features states’ effective practices.

  • Contributes to the completion of major training programs.

  • Assists in developing advanced training solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

  • Applies advanced knowledge for the planning and designing of instructional methods and materials.

  • Advises and makes improvement recommendations of the delivery of on-site and/or in-house training classes, seminars, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises and discussion groups for customers and/or employees.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant and moderately advanced healthcare fraud and training trends. ​

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Healthcare fraud investigation and training expertise.

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

  • 8+ years in healthcare fraud investigations

  • Experience supporting and developing comprehensive training programs related to large federal programs.

  • Ability to drive content that is responsive to state program integrity needs, highlighting emerging trends and strategies.

  • Expertise in planning and design of instructional methods and materials.

  • Background in providing virtual and in-person presentations.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% for in-person presentations.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
