IT QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTER SENIOR

Join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, mission-critical systems that directly support state operations. In this role, you won’t just test software—you’ll drive quality, influence outcomes, and ensure reliability at scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead Quality Initiatives: Own and drive testing efforts for major system enhancements, ensuring performance, stability, and integrity across all releases
  • Collaborate for Success: Partner with state stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, high-quality solutions into production
  • Solve Complex Challenges: Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues across multiple areas of the system, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Deliver Excellence: Design and execute robust test plans and test cases based on requirements, user feedback, and evolving priorities
  • Ensure Product Reliability: Conduct thorough regression testing and validate bug fixes in close collaboration with development teams
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Analyze test results, provide actionable insights, and enhance QA processes, tools, and reporting

  • Experience working in Agile environments (preferred)


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your technical expertise and passion for quality to a role where your work drives meaningful impact. As a Senior IT QA Tester, you’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related discipline
  • Domain Expertise: 4+ years of experience in the insurance industry, including Medicaid claims adjudication
  • QA & Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking
    • Experience with modern testing tools and frameworks
    • Working knowledge of SQL/TSO for data validation and analysis
  • Agile Experience: Proven experience working in Agile software development environments
  • Tools & Productivity: Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word for analysis, reporting, and documentation
  • Work Authorization: U.S. citizenship may be required based on project or client needs
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to work onsite as needed, collaborate with government stakeholders, and travel occasionally

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $108,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
