MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
Conducts in-depth analysis and supports the development, documentation, execution, accountability, and improvement of a robust vehicle maintenance program for a fleet of mobile communications vehicles.

HOW A VEHICLE MAINTENANCE ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

  • Managing the daily operations for the vehicle repair facility to include planning preventative maintenance, diagnosing the need for and coordinating corrective maintenance, and producing detailed documentation of maintenance actions. 

  • Delivering guidance, monitoring, and control of repair actions such as inspecting, repairing, or exchanging heating systems, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), power steering and breaking mechanisms, suspension components, drive train, engine and body mounts, and battery and charging systems. 

  • Conducting diagnostics for all aspects of vehicle maintenance; routine repairs and assist with major modifications such as removing, tearing down, or rebuilding major components and assemblies on communications vehicles; identification of and determining solutions for unique mechanical problems. 

  • Providing on-the-job training and guidance to assigned military servicemembers in both the maintenance of vehicles and the generation of accurate maintenance documentation within the designated system of record. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

  • Required Experience: 11+ Years’ experience as a vehicle maintenance analyst, mechanic, or similar role 

  • Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of various automotive repair tools, including computerized vehicle manufacturer diagnostic tools, specialty tools, and power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding torches, jacks, and hoists 

  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility 

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills 

  • Preferred Skills: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred certifications (A1-A8) 

  • Location: On Customer Site, Washington, District of Columbia

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
