Job Description

PROGRAM SR MANAGER

Oversee complex programs that drive impactful mission outcomes for our customers as a Program Sr Manager. Here, you’ll see the bigger picture on mission initiatives and see where your program management career can go at GDIT.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Program Sr Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the customer. This program delivers critical hosting and storage solutions for NIH, HHS, and the VA, offering both secure public and private cloud options. The program provides architectural consulting, systems integration, and IT service management, with a strong focus on maintaining operational continuity and ensuring disaster recovery, aligned with federal cybersecurity requirements and strategic priorities. The Program Manager will serve as the primary interface with the Government (COR/CO) and will provide overall leadership, management, and accountability for execution of the program task order.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of accountability and primary Government liaison, leading all contract-related activities
  • Direct and oversee execution of the BPA Call Order across all Task Areas, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, performance, and SLA requirements.
  • Manage all program reporting and deliverables, including PMP, status reports, and governance artifacts
  • Lead integrated program management functions, including risk management, financial oversight, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination
  • Spearhead planning, execution, and modernization of secure IT systems across hybrid/cloud environments
  • Lead Agile delivery while ensuring compliance with federal requirements (e.g., FISMA, RMF) and NIH/CIT policies
  • Establish and maintain governance cadence (Program Management Reviews, Technical Status Meetings, status meetings) and provide executive-level briefings
  • Oversee workforce management, ensuring qualified staffing, performance, and continuity
  • Manage transition activities (transition-in/out) and ensure uninterrupted service delivery

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree or higher in a technical or IT related field
  • Certification: Active PMP or equivalent certification; Agile certification (e.g., Scrum Master); ITIL v3 or v4 certification above Foundation level
  • Experience: 10+ years of senior-level Federal IT program management experience within the past twenty (20) years supporting programs of similar scope and complexity
  • Security clearance level: the ability to obtain a Public Trust

Skills

  • Demonstrated success leading Agile teams in regulated federal environments with strong executive communication skills
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-vendor programs and operating within interagency ecosystems
  • Experience managing performance-based contracts

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
