Job Description

Keep growth on track and your career in motion as a Senior Subcontracts Growth Lead at GDIT. In this senior role, your leadership in shaping strategic subcontracting approaches for complex captures and proposals will directly power enterprise growth, enhance competitive positioning, and secure long‑term mission success for our customers.

As a Senior Subcontracts Growth Lead, you will serve as the primary subcontract strategy authority for high‑visibility pursuits. You will drive early shaping with industry partners, influence bid strategy, ensure compliant and compelling submissions, and mentor other team members. Your work will inform executive decision-making and strengthen GDIT’s subcontracting excellence across the Growth organization.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Serve as the senior subcontracting advisor to the Growth Strategist and capture leadership, providing expert guidance on sourcing strategies, competitive positioning, partner alignment, and risk mitigation
  • Lead development of advanced subcontracting strategies for large, complex, or enterprise‑level captures—including multi‑tier subcontracting, strategic partnerships, and innovative pricing and performance models
  • Conduct early market research, supplier intelligence analysis, and competitive assessments to influence capture shaping and teaming decisions. Drive outreach to new and emerging partners to strengthen GDIT’s supplier ecosystem.
  • Oversee all subcontract-related inputs for major proposals, ensuring accuracy, compliance with FAR/DFARS, and alignment with GDIT’s business objectives, technical solutioning, and customer requirements
  • Direct negotiation strategy and lead high‑visibility engagement with subcontractors, including teaming agreements, pricing strategies, NDAs, and data call execution
  • Identify and elevate subcontracting risks, gaps, and dependencies across the capture lifecycle, partnering with Contracts, Legal, Pricing, and Technical solution teams to ensure timely resolution. Provide regular executive‑level risk briefings.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and artificial intelligence tools to evaluate supplier performance, detect misalignment between subcontractor commitments and customer requirements, and forecast pricing or compliance risks
  • Prepare and deliver briefings on subcontract strategy, partner positioning, pricing insights, risk posture, and recommendations to senior leadership, capture teams, and color‑team reviewers
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts across the Growth organization by refining subcontracting playbooks, templates, workflows, and best practices. Mentor junior team members and help elevate the overall quality of subcontracting contributions.
  • Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation and reporting within GDIT’s source-to-pay, capture, and proposal systems. Strengthen data quality and visibility for leadership across the pursuit lifecycle.
