Job Description

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Knowledge/Configuration Management (KM/CM) Lead at GDIT. You’ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Here, your work will have meaning and impact as you deliver your best every day.

As a Knowledge/Configuration Management (KM/CM) Lead, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a KM/CM Lead joining our team to be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence information to support decision-making at all levels of the organization. This includes collecting, triaging, and reviewing information from a variety of sources. TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

HOW A KM/CM LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Provides current and emergent intelligence reporting to customers, updating, maintaining, and disseminating products

  • Executes and tracks intelligence sharing amongst multiple stakeholders

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas

  • Develop and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Create, capture, organize, and assess knowledge assets for enterprise use

  • Coordinate with cross-functional organizations to align KM strategy with broader organizational learning strategies.

  • Develop a robust roadmap strategy for implementing knowledge management that builds upon industry best practices and leverages tooling and process advancements

  • Promote use of knowledge management tools and processes to facilitate knowledge share.

  • Assist with resource planning as applicable to strengthen and expand KM initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • The position requires an active TS/SCI with SCI Poly clearance

  • A bachelor’s degree in an IT or engineering related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in an IT or engineering field, candidates may substitute with four (4) years of demonstrated experience in IT disciplines. Years of experience for substitution are in addition to other years of experience requirements outlined below  

  • Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in IT disciplines, of which at least five (5) years are as a technical lead

  • Strong ability to work with leadership team to plan and execute tactical and strategic efforts

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and recognize key challenges/roadblocks

  • Demonstrated ability to configure baselines for systems, services, diagrams, SOPs, implementation documentation, and related technical artifacts, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the enterprise 

  • Track and manage configuration changes resulting from engineering, operations, or tech refresh activities; ensure changes follow customer processes and are captured in controlled documentation sets 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the knowledge management repository, ensuring all configuration items and technical documentation are accessible, properly indexed, permissioned, and linked to operational systems 

  • Support engineering and operations by ensuring all configuration assets, including test reports, sustainment plans, training plans, and deployment cut sheets, are controlled and consistent with approved baselines

  • Location: At Customer Site – Herndon area

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $174,250 - $235,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
