Job Description

The World Trade Center Health Program is a limited federal health program administered by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Program provides no-cost medical monitoring and treatment for certified WTC-related health conditions to those directly affected by the 9/11 attacks in New York, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.SummaryThe Member Services Sr Processor serves as a senior operational specialist responsible for processing complex member applications, transfers, appeals, and documentation while supporting workflow oversight, quality assurance, and training initiatives. This role functions as a lead processor and serves as the primary point of escalation for complex cases that do not require supervisor intervention. The Processor IV contributes to process development, system enhancements, and operational improvements.Responsibilities• Process high‑complexity applications, certifications, transfers, appeals, and documentation requiring detailed analysis and interpretation.
• Serve as a lead processor for escalated cases and provide guidance to Levels 1–3 processors.
• Support supervisors with workflow coordination, assignment management, and quality monitoring.
• Review completed work from junior staff for accuracy and compliance and provide feedback to improve performance.
• Train staff on program policies, procedures, systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to operational reporting by identifying trends, documenting issues, and supporting performance data collection.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on sensitive or complex processing matters.
• Support system improvements, workflow optimization, and readiness for audits or compliance reviews.Required Qualifications• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in processing, administrative support, operations, or a high‑volume service environment.
• Strong knowledge of member processing workflows, documentation review, eligibility requirements, and regulatory considerations.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to support limited oversight responsibilities and assist supervisors as needed.Preferred Qualifications• Background supporting federal health programs or healthcare operations.
• Experience with intelligent document processing tools, member service portals, or customer support platforms such as ServiceNow or CXone.GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.40 - $27.60. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
