We are seeking a Help Desk Specialist to provide Tier I and Tier II technical support for a mission-critical defense program in Oahu, Hawaii. This role is responsible for resolving hardware, software, network, and account-related issues while ensuring compliance with DoW cybersecurity and IT policies. 

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically proficient, and experienced in supporting enterprise IT environments within regulated or cleared settings. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provides technical support to local and remote users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, PC, printer, email, directory, and standard Windows desktop application issues, as well as applications developed locally.
  • Analyzes and responds to incidents, collaborates with users to diagnose problems, investigates causes, and recommends solutions.
  • Resolves issues within defined scopes while escalating when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science or related field; or Associate's degree (AS) with 5 years of experience; or no degree with 8 years of general experience (including 6 years of specialized experience).
  • Experience: Minimum 5-8 years depending on educational qualifications.
  • Clearance:  Active secret clearance. TS preferred.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $30.44 - $41.18. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
