Job Description

Our work depends on a Strategic Advisor joining our team to support our Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Business Area. This position provides an exciting opportunity to play a leadership role in serving our customers by supporting critical customer specific technology and mission challenges. The breadth of our portfolio and the scale of our company ensure that you can take on new challenges and new roles as our business and mission-impact expands.

You should have a proven record of successfully growing business on large and strategic opportunities, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger Federal Health division. A demonstrated customer intimacy and in particular, an understanding of the strategic direction for CDC is very important.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Develop a technology modernization roadmap to enable expansion of the GDIT footprint across CDC.

  • Support technical modernization strategies, strategic captures, and business development in alignment with GDIT’s CDC related strategy. 

  • Establish C-level relationships across the federal health portfolio and help bridge GDIT Technology capabilities with the developing CDC IT Modernization strategy across various agencies.

  • Leverage existing relationships to: (1) enhance execution and support organic growth across strategic programs (2) provide technical feedback on identified and qualified new business opportunities in the CDC pipeline.

  • Provide high-level consulting, strategy, and leadership across the CDC Business Area related to large, enterprise programs and initiatives.

  • Develop and support implementation of strategies to address CDC agency-wide initiatives  

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BS degree and 10+ years of senior leadership experience in federal operations, sales, and/or technical business management.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large programs and enabling IT modernization strategy across CDC federal customer landscape at an enterprise scale. 

  • Extensive background providing strategy for federal government program modernization; to include operations, and successful federal procurement focus on mission and Health IT services

  • Experience understanding CDC’s customer needs for cutting edge technology and digital transformation; and how to deliver and advise on solutions for CDC and other Federal government customers.    

  • Specific experience and familiarity with AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Zero Trust, Enterprise Architecture

  • Communications, presentations, and strategy development are all paramount to your success. This position will interact with all levels of customer and GDIT leadership and must be able to effectively work within this environment.

  • Location: Hybrid position split between remote and a GDIT office or travel to customer sites.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and/or Public Trust.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $39,100 - $52,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
