MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Systems Technician III, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission.

  • Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.
  • Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
  • Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, hard drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).
  • Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.
  • Provides technical support and training to end-users
  • Provide guidance, work related leadership and mentoring to less-experienced technicians
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation, operating systems, and common applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Office 365)
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned (desktop support)
  • Other duties to include but not limited to logistics
  • Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office Suite and laptop and desktop hardware
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance
  • US citizenship required
  • Role requirements:
    • Experience with customer support
    • Experience with installation of systems and repairs of computers and software’s
    • Strong written and oral communication and excellent customer service skills
    • Knowledge of networking
    • Experience working with routers, servers, and switches
  • Location. This position requires working at our GDIT facility in Oakton, Virginia. Must be comfortable working onsite (5) days a week.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.52 - $32.69. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
