Job Description

PROJECT/TASK MANAGER

Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects within PTAC using an established project management framework. This role ensures predictable delivery, effective communication, and visibility across assigned initiatives. The Project Manager collaborates with PTAC teams and the GSE&SC+ Program to improve coordination, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall project experience for internal stakeholders and the customer.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute project management processes using approved PTAC frameworks, templates, and tools.
• Support governance activities including milestone tracking, risk identification, quality reviews, and project reporting.
• Maintain accurate visibility into project status, priorities, risks, dependencies, and resourcing needs.
• Develop and deliver project-level dashboards and status reports for leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure consistent planning, scheduling, tracking, and delivery.
• Identify and escalate risks and issues in a timely manner and support resolution efforts.
• Establish effective working relationships across PTAC, customer organizations, and partner groups.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and operational effectiveness.



WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education (such as business, management, or project management), training, and/or military experience.
• Experience managing or supporting projects in a technical or operational environment.
• Ability to apply project management frameworks, governance processes, and standardized workflows.
• Strong skills in planning, risk management, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise leadership communications.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and mobile applications.

Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: SECRET clearance
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI access

• Domestic and international travel: 10–25%.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience with portfolio management, project intake, or prioritization processes.
• Familiarity with Engineering and Operations workflows and interdependencies.
• Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience working at U.S. Embassies or Consulates.
• Experience working directly with Department of State Diplomatic Security.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI‑ACP).

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
