Job Description

Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and support impactful mission outcomes as an Executive Assistant at GDIT. Here, you’ll enable the success of the most critical government missions and the growth of a meaningful career in Administration.

As an Executive Assistant, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the Defense Division Growth organization. You will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our team by providing comprehensive support to senior leadership in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented Executive Assistant who will be responsible for managing complex calendars, coordinating high-visibility meetings and events, and performing general administrative assistance in support of the broader Defense Growth organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional professionalism, sound judgment, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to anticipate needs and prioritize competing demands.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage, coordinate, and update calendar schedules in Microsoft Outlook
  • Organize and support in-person and virtual meetings, including reserving rooms, preparing for events, ordering catering as necessary and coordinating with on-site facilities and IT
  • Organize and book travel for VPs
  • Perform a variety of Defense Growth, Division, and Ops related administrative duties
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding new employees
  • Support purchasing activities
  • Maintain org charts, distribution lists. files, documents, etc.
  • SharePoint maintenance
  • Act as a resource for questions regarding expense reporting in Concur, Timekeeping, etc.
  • Assist with Salesforce record maintenance
  • Coordinate with other functional teams across the company as needed


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your expertise and drive to GDIT. The Executive Assistant must have:

  • Education: High School diploma required
  • Experience: 10+ years of related experience in an office environment or 8+ with an Associates Degree or 6+ years of Executive Assistant experience with a Bachelors degree
  • Proficient with MS office suite including Outlook and Teams
  • Proficient with Concur
  • Executive calendar management
  • Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives
  • Location: Hybrid position that will require being in the Falls Church office on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and any other days as required. Flexibility for telecommuting on the other days

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $39.11 - $45.31. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
