Cruiser/Destroyer Combat Systems SME

As a Cruiser/Destroyer Combat Systems SME, the work you do at GDIT directly supports the mission of Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific Fleet (CNSP). You will play a crucial role in all Combat Systems SME activities across the Readiness Assistance Training Teams (RATT), helping ships improve combat readiness, system proficiency, and operational performance.

● Collaborate closely with shipboard crews, government program offices, Regional Maintenance Centers, depot-level teams, and training organizations to align maintenance priorities, coordinate technical actions, and maintain clear and consistent communication across the combat systems enterprise.
● Drive system performance improvements by assessing operational outcomes, identifying ongoing degraders, and developing corrective recommendations. You will support ships in resolving system casualties, improving troubleshooting capability, and elevating combat systems proficiency across supported platforms.
● Apply deep technical expertise in AEGIS and SSDS combat systems, advanced diagnostics, Navy maintenance management systems (including CSMP and CASREP workflows), engineering documentation, and technical directives to mentor Sailors, develop procedures, and produce high-quality readiness assessments and reports aligned with TYCOM expectations.
