Job Description

Launch Your IT Career Supporting Critical Healthcare Systems

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a motivated early-career professional (0–2 years of experience) to support Hosting Operations Management (HOM) for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

How you'll make an impact:

  • Support Mission critical Validation environment along with, Test and Development environments including On-call role (24/7)
  • Supporting Triaging issues and Providing root cause analysis
  • Provide solutions to improve system Performance tuning/optimization.
  • Capacity planning & Forecasting
  • Proactive monitoring and addressing potential issues
  • Oracle DB & eBusiness Suite (EBS) cloning, Patching, Upgrade
  • Backup & Restore of Database and Applications
  • Maintain and Support to Keep DR system in sync with prod
  • Support Change migration to various environments
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned

What you'll need to succeed

  • BS/BA in Information Technology or related technical discipline
  • 0-2 years’ experience within Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) applications R12.2.x environment (installation, configuration, upgrade, patching).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and performance testing and optimization
  • Knowledge and expertise in automation (Shell, Perl scripting, Ansible)
  • Experience with following technologies -  Linux/Unix OS, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle EBS R12.x

It would be great if you also have:

  • Knowledge of Exadata Engineered Systems
  • Knowledge in OBIEE, SOA, Oracle IDM/SSO, installations, configuration, and patching

Location: Must live within driving distance of Windsor Mill, MD in order to work onsite 1-2 days per week during the first 3-month phase of joining GDIT. Thereafter, you will have the opportunity to work onsite 1 day per month, with additional days as required.

CLEARANCE: Requires the ability to pass a CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years in order to obtain a Public Trust.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $65,550. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
