Overview

 

GDIT’s Strategy and Performance Group (SPG) is looking for a versatile communications and stakeholder engagement professional to support an array of outreach activities for multiple functional areas of a federal government organization. The successful candidate will work on a team of top-notch professionals to support creation and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies and associated communications to assist stakeholders in navigating program updates and system upgrades. Activities include in-person and virtual informational briefings, support call sessions and other engagement with the external stakeholder community. The candidate also will welcome the chance to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, distributed-team environment.

 

What you get to do …

  • Support ongoing interaction and collaboration with the key external stakeholder groups.
  • Assist with coordination of meetings with key internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Create and maintain documentation related to stakeholder engagement strategies and external stakeholder information
  • Serve as liaison between business units to support information sharing and coordination of activities for the notification and rollout of program updates and system enhancements
  • Plan and facilitate meetings on various platforms (in-person, MS Teams, Webex, etc.) with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Conceive and develop print and digital content for internal and external audiences, including in support of outreach events
  • Prepare, edit, and revise presentations, talking points, and materials promoting external events that raise stakeholder awareness of program enhancements

 

What you need to have …

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., communications, marketing/outreach, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain a Level 5 public trust clearance with background investigation
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Experience working in government/client space (preferred)
  • Knowledge of or experience with the import/export industry (preferred)
  • Strong editorial communications abilities (writing, editing, and content development)
  • Experience writing and editing on deadline for publication
  • Experience conceiving and developing content for print and digital platforms
  • Familiarity and experience adhering to common content standards and quality-assurance resources such as style guides, AP Stylebook, and federal plain language requirements
  • Ability to coordinate task activities, timelines and communication among various stakeholders during task execution
  • Ability to adapt to evolving/changing project requirements
  • Ability to problem-solve basic technical issues
  • Competency in use of standard office tools (e.g., MS Office suite, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Comfortability working on a distributed team while working remotely
  • Experience and comfortability working in a fast-paced work environment with rapidly shifting priorities
  • Strong attention-to-detail mindset
  • Natural team-oriented mindset, including willingness to readily assist colleagues when needed
  • Ability to work independently, exhibiting accountability for assignments and work products
  • Natural inclination to engage in and contribute to ideating, brainstorming and troubleshooting exchanges

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $72,250 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
