Job Description

Training Support Lead (CTB)

XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO).

Our work depends on a Training Support Lead (CTB) joining our team to support unit commander’s training objectives by developing training methods and materials, such as curriculum, lectures, and computer-based training aids, based on consultation with client/user specifications.  Participate in special projects as required.


MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

  • Manages the delivery of Mission Command training based on exercise plans through coordination with unit and government leadership.
  • Manages the ongoing operations and futures developments for Collective Training.
  • Responsible for the professional development and certification of subordinate personnel.
  • Responsible for cross branch coordination during Event / Exercise lifecycle management.
  • Supervisory duties such as approving subordinates’ timecards, tracking GDIT yearly goal progress, approving request for leave, and subordinate execution and development.
  • Supports Unit Commander’s Training Objectives by developing training methods and materials based on consultation with client / user specifications.
  • Leads the development of TSP training products that include comprehensive operational procedures for an integrated federation of MC systems and simulation / stimulation systems.
  • Coordinates Event / Exercise lifecycle management (planning, preparation, execution and recovery, AAR).
  • Leads consultation with users to design, create, and configure systems to meet their training requirements.
  • Manages the development of training environments that are unique to unit training requirements.
  • Manages the delivery of small, medium and large collective training events / exercises in accordance with the established MTC training program.
  • Leads internal AARs upon completion of training
  • Directs and monitors the ongoing upgrade/adopt process and execution of Operational Readiness Tests (ORT).
  • Provides guidance for training, integration and simulation/stimulation support for Functional Areas
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required to support customer requirements.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education/Experience: BA/BS or equivalent relevant years of experience
  • Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience supporting military operations
  • Security Clearance: Secret clearance required to start
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the delivery of training programs.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills with great attention to detail, the ability to foresee/solve issues, and proactively solve complex problems.
    • Expert knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
    • Expertise in the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of Army training programs and Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC).
    • Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of mission command systems; knowledge of and experience with emerging mission command technologies.
    • MCS proficiency preferred.
  • Location: Fort Campbell MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1630, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.
  • Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $76,565 - $90,349. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
