Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technician

As a VTC Technician, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by supporting VTC and conference room technologies for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration. This role focuses on hands-on support, system upkeep, and assisting users with VTC solutions.
Job Summary
• Support daily operation of MS Teams–based VTC and conference room systems
• Configure rooms and equipment to meet requirements for scheduled conferences
• Operate and troubleshoot VTC and conference room equipment, escalating issues when needed
• Perform routine checks and basic performance testing to ensure systems operate correctly
• Assist with installing and upgrading VTC systems and conference room technologies
• Provide on-site support for VTC and presentation events, verifying system functionality and assisting with setup
• Conduct regular equipment spot checks to confirm readiness
• Troubleshoot common issues with hardware, network connections, and software configurations
• Respond to trouble tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Provide basic user training and support
• Help maintain accurate asset tracking and inventory records
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Follow established policies, procedures, and training requirements
• Complete required orientation and competency programs
• Participate in team meetings and support process improvement when appropriate
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with users
• Support new personnel by assisting with basic orientation or knowledge sharing when needed
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks and collaborate effectively within a team
What You’ll Need to Succeed
• Education: Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
• Experience: 3-5 years of related experience in VTC support, IT support, or system administration
• Technical Skills: Basic system administration, VTC support, end-user troubleshooting
• Clearance: DOE Q or TS
• Abilities: Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Location: Albuquerque, NM
• US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.75 - $40.25. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
