Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. We are seeking a Strategic Senior Manager to join our Cloud Solutions Business Area within the Federal Health Division, supporting complex cloud modernization initiatives while ensuring excellence in day‑to‑day operational delivery. In this role, you will support growth through capture, proposal development, and sales‑enablement activities while also driving cloud strategy execution, modernization planning, and organizational readiness. You will be part of a high‑impact organization helping evolve and scale GDIT’s cloud portfolio.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Engaging with cross functional technical and business teams to advance cloud strategy, modernization roadmaps, and implementation planning
  • Overseeing daily operations for the Cloud Solutions Business Area, ensuring effective program execution, issue resolution, and performance tracking (approximately 50% workload)
  • Supporting business development and capture efforts (approximately 50% workload), including opportunity shaping, proposal input, color team participation, and development of staffing plans
  • Initiating and managing job requisitions for key personnel aligned to capture and delivery needs
  • Administering and maintaining relevant SharePoint sites to ensure documentation integrity, collaboration access, and functional structure for B&P and operational workflows
  • Providing executive level briefings, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support decision making and growth of the cloud portfolio


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business, IT Management) or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • Required Experience: 5 + years of experience leading complex IT, cloud, or modernization programs
  • Required Technical Skills: Ability to manage competing priorities across operational delivery and business development; Strong understanding of capture processes, proposal development, and federal acquisition lifecycle; Demonstrated expertise in cloud strategy, modernization initiatives, and enterprise cloud transformation (AWS, Azure, or multi cloud); Experience with program management, P&L accountability, organizational leadership, and executive communication; Familiarity with Agile transformation, DevSecOps and modernization methodologies; Experience building or managing SharePoint sites in support of program or B&P activities

  • Preferred Skills: 10+ years experience and a related certification (i.e. PMP, ITIL, etc.); Experience with managing teams; Familiarity with cloud migration tooling
  • Location: 100% remote working
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel to the Falls Church, VA area and visit other customer sites around the DMV area
  • Security Clearance Level: Must be clearable for a Public Trust - Applicants shall have lived in the United States at least 3 out of the last 5 years prior to going through the public trust background investigation and submitting an application for a Federal ID Card
  • Work Visa will not be considered for this position

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $129,813 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
