Job Description

Must meet the certification requirement of DoD 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in SPIN-C or individual task order. The contractor is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificate:

• Security+

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching or Service Provider

 
Contract-Specific Requirements

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Intermediate “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Intermediate experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Tech Control Facility equipment as specified in the task order to include the following:

• NET Promina equipment

• KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries

• CISCO Routers/Switches

• Patch panels/maintenance panels

• Fiber optic modems and interface cards

Performs a range of technical tasks and provides site support.

Modifies, moves, and installs a range of new equipment.

Troubleshoots a range of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.

Performs a range of integrity testing and interviews customers to gather information about problems.

Prepares and presents a range of incident/performance reports to the customer and to the service delivery manager.

Provides advice and a range of onsite training for customer support personnel.

May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: AA/AS (or equivalent experience), 3+ years of experience

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.52 - $30.15. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
