Job Description

Intelligence Planner Senior

Our work depends on an Intelligence Analyst Senior to engage in defense and security efforts within the Pacific theater. You will lead the development and integration of complex intelligence plans, ensuring that the customer is prepared for theater-ready operations and can execute rapid-response strategies during China-related crisis surges.

· Strategic Planning: Lead the development of comprehensive intelligence plans and annexes that align customer capabilities with National and Defense Intelligence priorities.

· Mission Integration: Coordinate with planners to integrate intelligence requirements into broader operational and contingency plans.

· Surge Strategy: Develop and maintain preemptive plans for scaling intelligence operations during crisis events, ensuring a seamless transition to surge status.

· Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary liaison between the customer, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and the Joint Staff to synchronize planning efforts.

· Requirement Analysis: Analyze emerging threats and mission shifts to refine intelligence collection and production priorities.

· Capability Gap Integration: Conduct deliberate or crisis action planning to integrate contractor capabilities into existing OPLANs, CONPLANs, and areas of emerging threat.

· Policy Development: Research and prepare planning policy recommendations, management reports, and technical assessments for senior leadership.

· Operational Readiness: Ensure all planning documents and strategies meet the 72-hour response timeline required for emerging mission dictates.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree with 12 yrs related experience or Bachelor’s degree with a total of 17 yrs experience as a substitute to the Master’s degree. At least a portion of your experience must be in the last 2 yrs.

Required Skills:

  • Direct experience with JOPES or successor Joint Planning and Execution Services.
  • Proven ability to conduct deliberate or crisis action planning for theater priority plans.
  • Experience integrating collection, analytic, and targeting activities into DoW planning functions.
  • Ability to maintain a 72-hour response timeline for emerging requirements during mission surges.

Preferred Skills:

  • Extensive experience supporting Pacific theater or China-specific mission sets.

  • Experience developing Annex W (Operational Contract Support) for theater priority plans.

  • Prior experience with red teaming and intelligence feasibility assessments.

  • Familiarity with the customer’s operational spectrum and staffing drivers.

  • Advanced certification in Joint Planning or equivalent senior-level professional military education (e.g. JIPP, SAMS, SAW, JAWS, MAWS, SAASS).

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
