Deliver insights to help our clients turn data into action as a Data Engineer / Cloud ETL Developer at GDIT. At GDIT, people are our differentiator. GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Data Engineer / Cloud ETL Developer to transform how government agencies use data. Our work depends on a Data Engineer / Cloud ETL Developer joining our team to deliver cloud-based data engineering and ETL solutions for a Federal agency.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Design, develop and implement complex ETL processes of healthcare data to meet a wide range of business and system requirements
  • Support the ETL operational processes including but not limited to: automation, job scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, maintenance, patches, upgrades, security, and administration
  • Identify process improvements and innovative ways to solve existing or new problems


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Required Experience: 5+ years of IT experience;
  • Strong experience working with Python programming required
  • Strong SQL experience required
  • At least 2+ years of Cloud ETL development experience using AWS Services / tools
  • Experience with Snowflake, and/or similar cloud relational database/data warehouse technologies
  • Experience in Github, or similar version control tools;
  • Prior experience using the Agile development framework, and CI/CD DevOps
  • Security Clearance Level: Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years
  • Location: Remote

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
