Job Description

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Project Manager to join the F-35 program in Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) leads life-cycle management of the F-35 Lightning II, the fifth-generation joint strike fighter serving the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Cooperative Program Partners (CPP), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers across multiple classification levels.

Support includs Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Special Access Programs (SAP), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). The F-35 JPO Security Directorate provides full-spectrum, multi-disciplined security support to protect F-35 technology and information across the enterprise and throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle, spanning Continental United States (CONUS) and overseas operations globally. 

The role of the Project Manager is to provide senior-level management oversight for assigned F-35 JPO security program areas, ensuring timely��and compliant delivery of security support services across assigned functional disciplines and performance locations: 

  • Manage day-to-day security program activities within assigned task order scope, ensuring deliverables meet Government acceptance standards and schedule requirements 

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, deliverable tracking systems, and performance status reports in accordance with contract requirements 

  • Coordinate with Government personnel and the Program Manager on task execution, staffing assignments, and corrective action planning 

  • Provide senior-level oversight of contract deliverable quality control processes within assigned security disciplines and locations 

  • Support transition activities, knowledge transfer, and personnel continuity planning across assigned program areas 

  • Manage subcontractor performance and coordination within assigned scope where applicable 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Master's Degree, OR Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years of additional work experience in program or project management in a DoD environment 

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing DoD security programs or multi-discipline security support operations 

  • Demonstrated experience with one or more DoD security disciplines, including General Security (GENSEC), Industrial Security (INDUSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), or Physical Security (PHYSEC) 

  • Experience supporting joint program office security operations for defense acquisition programs preferred 

  • Top Secret clearance required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
