Job Description

Please take this opportunity to join one of GDIT’s fastest long-standing growing programs!  US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoW intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. 

The USBICES-X Coalition Integration Lab (CIL) is the enduring solution for intelligence sharing. Meeting the challenge of complex 21st century operational requirements, the USBICES-X CIL is a leader in making systems and tools available to trusted stakeholders in a distributed, Coalition Shared Data environment. Located at JB Langley-Eustis, the CIL provides a reliable resource to advance the Initial Operating Capability of NATO Joint Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, installs, configures, and maintains operating systems, hardware, and networks
  • Collaborates with cyber security and network teams to ensure system integration
  • Deploys, configures, and administers virtual machines within the vCenter infrastructure
  • Reviews vulnerability scans and remediates systems
  • Builds and maintains transient Active Directory domain environments for validation testing
  • Plans and directs upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements
  • Maintains baseline system images and VMware virtual machine templates
  • Develops documentation on new or existing systems
  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex technical issues in hardware and software
  • Implements warranty and support activities
  • Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required
     

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related systems engineering experience
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must have VMWare experience
  • Experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) required
  • Experience with vendor relationship and cost estimation
  • Previous experience administering Windows Server Domains
  • DoW 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LINUX experience Highly Desired
  • MS Windows Certification (MCSA/MCSE)
  • VMWare Certification
  • Microsoft SQL Server and Internet Information Services (IIS) experience
  • PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and PowerCli experience
  • F5 BIG-IP experience
  • Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
