ENGINEERING DIRECTOR

As an Engineering Director, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission supporting the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As a Director of Engineering supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Fully responsible for cost / schedule / performance associated with all Engineering activities associated with the delivery of ACS SI&T services and products
Sets the strategic direction for IWS 1 agency, TDP development, technical surge efforts and innovation efforts
Directs the efforts of Engineering sub-teams, such as Physical Engineering, Command and Control Engineering, SPY Engineering, Design and Integration Engineering and Topside Engineering
Develops highly complex business strategies to achieve business targets
Keeps current with cutting edge business and economic trends to forecast how the business will need to adapt and change over time
Manages or supervises multiple departments and disciplines
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
A Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field and 15+ years of relevant experience (or 20+ years of experience without a degree).
Active Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain Top Secret. Active Top Secret clearance is desired.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector.

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely salary range for this position is $195,500 - $264,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
