We are currently seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to join our team supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This is an exceptional opportunity to build your skills on the ServiceNow platform, learn from experienced leaders, and grow into your role as a technical professional.
Your ImpactAs a Junior ServiceNow Developer, you’ll work with a collaborative team to develop and deliver solutions that support mission-critical needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the development, configuration, and customization of ServiceNow applications under the guidance of senior developers.
Learning to create workflows, automations, and integrations based on business requirements.
Perform routine ServiceNow platform administration, including upgrades, patching, cloning activities, and managing users, groups, roles, and permissions.
Collaborating with team members to understand and implement technical solutions using ServiceNow.
Helping troubleshoot issues and testing solutions to ensure reliability and functionality.
Contributing to technical documentation for applications, processes, and solutions.
Learn and apply foundational concepts in IT Service Management (ITSM), ServiceNow development, and administrative best practices.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Recent bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
0-2 years of related experience as described below:
Basic knowledge or coursework in programming languages like JavaScript.
A strong desire to learn and grow in ServiceNow development.
Analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and seek guidance as needed.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment..
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, these qualifications are a plus:
Participation in internships or projects involving ServiceNow or similar platforms.
Exposure to concepts such as IT Service Management (ITSM) or ITIL.
Any ServiceNow certification, such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
Basic understanding of APIs and integrations.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methods from coursework or internships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.

Location: Must live within driving distance of Windsor Mill, MD in order to work onsite 1-2 days per week during the first 3-months of joining GDIT. Thereafter, you will have the opportunity to work onsite 1 day per month with additional onsite days as required.
Clearance Level: Requires the ability to pass a CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years in order to obtain a Public Trust.

The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $70,150. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
