Job Description

Serves as the Program Manager for the Defense Stockpile Management System. (DSMS). Oversees a comprehensive IT program encompassing cybersecurity, system engineering, system and software development, database, network architecture, system administration, customer support and day-to-day administrative processes. This position provides resources to effectively oversee the performance and oversight of all requirements.

Duties:

  • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work, financial and business development activities.
  • Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate supervisors, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.
  • Providing the appropriate staff with the required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences; resources, and documentation to successfully deliver the program on time, within budget, and meet all performance requirements.
  • Ensuring all objectives and agreed upon deliverables are clearly planned, documented, monitored, and reported upon in accordance with integrated schedule.
  • Providing technical and functional activities for effective management of DSMS.
  • Ensuring SEI CMMI Level 2 processes are employed and maintained.
  • Providing effective productivity and management processes for requirements management, project plans, project estimates and management, subcontract management, quality assurance, and configuration management.
  • Providing an integrated management approach to support all activities by providing direction of the project so the Government’s needs and expectations are equitably satisfied.
  • Proactively addressing risks and challenges to achieve programmatic success.
  • Developing contingency response/network outage recall procedures and obtaining the necessary expertise to rectify issues. These procedures shall identify under what circumstances recall actions will take place, who to call and will be approved by the Government program leadership.
  • Supporting, planning and conducting periodic management reviews.
  • Ensuring all contractor support meets/maintain qualifications.


SCOPE: Manages a medium to large team or department focused on multiple areas. Medium to High complexity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience
  • PgPMP or PMP
  • DoD TS Clearance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Nuclear Accountability Experience
  • Formal CMMI training

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $163,200 - $220,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
