  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD, with hands-on experience configuring records management, compliance, and security solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of federal records management regulations (NARA, 44 U.S.C., 36 CFR), retention schedules, and electronic records practices.
  • Experience with role-based access controls, policy development, and audit processes.
  • Familiarity with e-discovery, litigation hold, and information protection modules.
  • Excellent communication skills for training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate across IT, legal, and compliance teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Compliance, or related fields.
  • Prior experience supporting records management in a federal or regulated environment.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with SharePoint, Exchange Online, and OneDrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Records Management Solution Design: Architect and configure Microsoft Purview Records Management solutions, including retention labels, file plans, and adaptive scopes for SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure records management processes comply with federal laws (e.g., NARA, 44 U.S.C.), AmeriCorps policies, and organizational directives. Support audits and reporting requirements.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, preservation, and disposition of records. Implement retention schedules and monitor compliance with disposition standards.
  • Role-Based Access & Security: Assign and manage Purview roles (Records Manager, Disposition Reviewer, Compliance Administrator, Information Protection Analyst, etc.) to ensure secure access and proper segregation of duties.
  • Policy Development: Draft and maintain electronic records management policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines. Update documentation as systems and regulations evolve.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver records management training for staff, including onboarding, annual compliance, and specialized guidance for senior leaders and records coordinators.
  • E-Discovery & Litigation Hold: Support e-discovery case management, litigation hold labeling, and audit logs for sensitive data. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams as needed.
  • Data Loss Prevention & Information Protection: Configure and monitor DLP policies, sensitivity labels, and security alerts to protect records and sensitive information across multi-cloud platforms.
