OUR COMPANY

Iron EagleX (IEX), a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), delivers agile IT and Intelligence solutions. Combining small-team flexibility with global scale, IEX leverages emerging technologies to provide innovative, user-focused solutions that empower organizations and end users to operate smarter, faster, and more securely in dynamic environments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Iron EagleX is seeking a Senior Principal Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Analyst to join our dynamic team in Crystal City, VA. This role applies advanced SIGINT expertise to integrate multiple intelligence sources and develop actionable intelligence products in support of critical customer requirements. You will work as part of a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team that includes analysts, data scientists, and software developers. The ideal candidate combines deep SIGINT tradecraft with the ability to work directly with large and complex datasets, emerging analytic technologies, and modern data-driven workflows.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Senior Principal SIGINT Analyst, you will turn complex SIGINT and multi-source data into clear, actionable intelligence that directly supports analytic requirements. You will apply established SIGINT tradecraft while helping develop and refine new approaches for working with increasingly large, diverse, and technically complex datasets. Your analytic expertise will help ensure that new technologies produce technically accurate, explainable, and relevant results.

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Conduct structured SIGINT analysis across multiple data sources to identify patterns, relationships, behaviors, anomalies, and other indicators relevant to established intelligence requirements.

  • Use SIGINT databases, repositories, analytic platforms, and specialized tools to interpret collected data, develop analytic leads, and synthesize information into actionable intelligence.

  • Develop intelligence reports, analytic assessments, briefings, structured data products, and other analyst-ready deliverables that clearly communicate findings, confidence, limitations, and operational relevance.

  • Apply applicable SIGINT authorities, policies, legal considerations, and handling requirements throughout collection, analysis, exploitation, reporting, and dissemination activities.

  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other technical personnel to translate analyst requirements and SIGINT tradecraft into improved analytic tools, workflows, and capabilities.

  • Help transition successful analyst workflows and ad hoc analytic methods into repeatable methodologies, documented processes, automated workflows, and reusable operational capabilities.

  • Communicate technical SIGINT concepts, analytic findings, data characteristics, and requirements effectively to both SIGINT and non-SIGINT personnel.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience using SIGINT repositories, databases, analytic platforms, and specialized tools to research and analyze collected information, develop intelligence assessments, and answer intelligence requirements.

  • Strong understanding of SIGINT collection, analysis, exploitation, and associated tradecraft, methodologies, authorities, legal considerations, and operational constraints.

  • Experience working directly with processed and unprocessed technical data and the ability to understand how collection methods, processing, transformations, data quality, and source limitations affect downstream analysis.

  • Experience correlating information across multiple intelligence sources and disciplines to identify relationships and develop higher-confidence analytic conclusions.

  • Experience producing clear, accurate, and timely intelligence reports, analytic assessments, briefings, or other intelligence products for decision-making audiences.

  • Ability to evaluate analytic findings critically, distinguish between confirmed information and analytic assessment, identify potential gaps or alternative explanations, and clearly communicate levels of confidence and known limitations.

  • Ability to communicate SIGINT tradecraft, technical requirements, data characteristics, and analyst workflows to personnel who may not have a SIGINT background.

  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn emerging technologies, adapt established analytic methodologies, and incorporate new tools and techniques into repeatable workflows.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Experience applying data-driven analytic techniques to SIGINT datasets, including pattern analysis, anomaly detection, relationship discovery, network analysis, entity correlation, prioritization, or temporal analysis.

  • Experience working with large, disparate, or technically complex datasets and using modern data platforms, search systems, or other technologies to perform intelligence analysis.

  • Familiarity with scripting, query languages, or data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, notebooks, or similar technologies used to investigate, manipulate, enrich, and analyze technical data.

  • Experience collaborating with software developers or data scientists to define analyst requirements, test new analytic capabilities, validate results, provide subject matter expertise, and refine tools based on feedback.

  • Familiarity with automated data processing and enrichment techniques, including parsing, data correlation, and integration of structured and unstructured information.

  • Experience developing or refining repeatable analytic methodologies that transition manual or ad hoc analyst processes into standardized, documented, or automated workflows.

  • Experience operating in multidisciplinary environments where intelligence tradecraft must be combined with data science, software engineering, and/or advanced analytics.
