Job Description

GDIT has been supporting the IHS mission for 20+ years; working with the agency to provide integral services to raise health access and availability to 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. You'll be part of modernizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform to enable better data access, patient experience, and quality of care for 567 tribes, 37 states and over 600 medical facilities. 

 

Our work depends on a Sr. Business Analyst joining our team to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program. As a Business Analyst supporting the IHS EHRM program, you will be responsible for supporting the PMO for contract management execution support. 

  

This position is fully remote. 

 

  • Lead/Manage/Support:
    • Support KM and SharePoint operations across the program, ensuring consistent structure, organization, and accessibility.
    • Monitor, triage, and track KM tickets, coordinating resolution and maintaining visibility into progress.
    • Provide front-end SharePoint administration, including creating lists/libraries, designing modern pages, and managing permissions and groups (no back-end support required).
    • Support development of program asset documentation, including procedures, processes, templates, and structured KM artifacts.
    • Manage and coordinate the Lessons Learned process, tracking submissions, facilitating updates, and maintaining documentation.
    • Support GovSlack user administration, including account creation/removal and troubleshooting access issues.
  • Collaborate with:
    • Partner with KM and functional teams to ensure timely ticket resolution and effective content governance.
    • Coordinate with content owners and SMEs during SharePoint content reviews to validate governance recommendations.
    • Engage members across the program to collect, document, and refine Lessons Learned inputs.
    • Work closely with content owners when identifying duplicate or abandoned SharePoint content and recommending cleanup actions.
  • Drive:
    • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and program performance.
    • Promote structured KM practices, ensuring consistent usage of templates, process documentation, and program assets.
    • Contribute to SharePoint governance maturity, helping the program maintain compliance, reduce content sprawl, and improve user experience.
    • Drive engagement in the Lessons Learned process by encouraging participation, coordinating input across teams, and promoting consistent use of Lessons Learned outputs to strengthen program operations.
  • Utilize:
    • Utilize SharePoint Online, including document libraries, metadata tagging, lists, modern pages, and permission structures.
    • Leverage KM tools and workflows, such as program asset repositories, Lessons Learned trackers, and structured documentation systems.
    • Use communication and presentation tools to prepare and deliver clear briefings and updates to program audiences, including leadership.
    • Apply analytical skills, workflow assessment techniques, and structured documentation practices to strengthen program operations.

 

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Oracle Cerner certification may substitute for 3 years of required experience 
  • Experience with SharePoint (document libraries, metadata tagging, lists, permissions) 
  • Proven ability to document processes
  • Experience supporting technical, clinical, or PMO teams 
  • Experience with supporting change management, reporting, and workflow tracking, determining issue resolution pathways/escalation, and tracking milestone progress during development and implementation phases 
  • Experience coordinating communication across functional teams 
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with GovSlack, Slack, or other team collaboration platforms 
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with knowledge management concepts and structured documentation practices 
  • Experience supporting federal contract program manager
  • Task management experience and/or skills
  • Proactive process improvement mindset, especially in knowledge management workflows
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage frequently changing priorities of competing importance
  • Ability to prepare and deliver strong presentation and briefing skills to communicate effectively in front of diverse program audiences, including leadership and customers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines, following detailed written policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our program

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
