Oracle Cloud Migration SME/PM

GDIT is seeking an experienced Oracle Migration SME to lead a complex enterprise cloud migration from Microsoft Azure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of the Chief Financial Officer’s (OCFO) Consolidated Business Systems (e.g., financials, procurement, and budget formulation and execution).

This individual will be accountable for the end-to-end planning, coordination, governance, and execution of the migration, working across infrastructure, application, database, security, networking, architecture, operations, and business teams.

The Senior Project Manager will partner closely with technical leadership, application owners, cloud architects, Oracle, Microsoft, implementation partners, and business stakeholders to develop and execute the migration roadmap while minimizing business disruption and managing technical and operational risk.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing large-scale cloud or data center transformation programs involving multiple applications, infrastructure dependencies, vendors, and business stakeholders. Strong project governance, dependency management, executive communication, and migration/cutover experience are essential.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science ● Experience: 14+ years of related experience

Technical skills:

• Extensive experience and knowledge with AWS, Azure and Oracle cloud providers.
• Direct experience leading an Azure-to-OCI migration or comparable hyperscaler-to-hyperscaler cloud migration.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, migration methodologies, and cloud architecture.
• Experience with Oracle databases, Oracle applications, Exadata, or other Oracle technology platforms.
• Experience and knowledge in principles and practices of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiar with Microsoft .Net applications.
• Experience working with MySQL database.
• Experience with Extract/Transform/Load (ETL).
• Proficiency in business tools, such as, Word, Excel, Power-Point, Visio, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ability to provide guidance to a small team and to integrate as part of a larger team.
• Ability to analyze complex data and present findings in a clear and easily understandable manner.
• Ability to present recommendations for consideration and influence as needed.
• Demonstrated experience working in a load-balanced environment
• Understanding of IT practices, service management, governance frameworks, and industry standards (i.e., ITIL, ITSM, COBIT, ISO). 
• Working knowledge of IT tracking tools, preferably ServiceNow.
