Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Hardware/Asset Logistics Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the acquisition, tracking, and management of technical hardware resources essential to support mission-critical operations. You will serve as the primary lead for equipment oversight and logistics efforts to ensure timely delivery and effective management of all hardware logistics activities.

Hardware/Asset Logistics Manager with deployment experience, you will be responsible for managing the overall information technology logistics activities across multiple deployment phases, ensuring proper resource allocation and surge management as necessary to support the mission. The position requires a strong understanding of logistics processes, including acquisition tracking, purchase coordination, and lifecycle management of physical hardware.

As a Hardware/Asset Logistics Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the IHS Healthcare IT Modernization (HITMOD) Program. You will play a crucial role in managing the overall information technology logistics activities across multiple deployment phases.

This role is fully remote!
 

This role requires you to obtain and maintain an in-depth Public Trust Level 5. This investigation will review personal and criminal behavior, financial conduct, foreign influence, as well as other adjudications.


RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Manage and track the development of Bill of Materials (BOM) for program hardware requirements.  
  • Obtain and review hardware quotes to confirm compliance with program needs.  
  • Coordinate hardware acquisition through intake processes, such as Acquisition Intake Request Forms.  
  • Oversee the submission and monitoring of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).  
  • Monitor hardware lead times to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays.  
  • Manage equipment receipt and tracking within GDIT systems to verify hardware availability.  
  • Coordinate with the COR to track signature receipts and document equipment hand-offs.  
  • Maintain and track warranty and maintenance information for all hardware assets.  
  • Approve and process invoices in MarkView to ensure payment is appropriately managed and accurate.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistical efforts with overall program timelines.  
  • Ability to ensure resource allocation is sufficient to support the mission and manage resources, as needed, when surge is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business, logistics, or IT (equivalent years of experience may substitute for education)
  • 11+ years of relevant experience, including: IT logistics with deployment support and experience in hardware lifecycle management, including procurement and requisitions. 
  • Prior exposure to working with government contracts, policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to manage resources under time-sensitive conditions and adapt to surge requirements. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience using GDIT systems and tools, including MarkView for invoice approvals strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate across stakeholders. 
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition and documentation processes.  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead IT logistics functions for large-scale deployment operations.
  • Experience supporting a public health federal contract program.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage frequently changing priorities of competing importance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines, following detailed written policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our program.
  • Technology Certification i.e. CompTia A+, Sec+, etc.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $108,800 - $147,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
