Job Description

Keep growth on track and your career in motion as a Sourcing and Procurement Associate at GDIT. Your work leading acquisition strategy during capture will power competitive proposals, strengthen supplier partnerships, and position GDIT for long‑term mission success.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Sourcing and Procurement Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will support the effectiveness and consistency of our Sourcing & Procurement organization. In this role, you will contribute to procurement activities across the commodity team while learning key processes, tools, and best practices.

You will complete standard sourcing events, prepare and issue RFQs, support negotiations under guidance from senior team members, and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures. You will coordinate with cross‑functional partners to gather requirements, organize documentation, and help deliver sourcing outcomes that meet business and program needs.

You will play a key role in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and readiness across stakeholders, suppliers, and internal processes—supporting risk mitigation and disciplined execution of procurement activities as you grow within the organization.

In this role you will:

  • Support Sourcing Activities

    • Prepare sourcing events, gather requirements, and evaluate suppliers.

  • Issuing RFQs, organizing documentation, tracking timelines, and support supplier analyses.

  • Maintain accurate records, follow procurement procedures, and help ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

  • Coordinate communications, schedule meetings, and support early‑stage supplier interactions and issue follow‑ups.

  • Help identify opportunities to streamline workflows and support updates to tools, templates, and best practices.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your procurement expertise, analytical strength, and collaborative problem‑solving style to GDIT. The Strategic Procurement Lead must have:

  • 2 years of experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree; 4 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

  • Ability to work with stakeholders to understand basic procurement needs and support sourcing activities to completion.

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to track tasks, timelines, and documentation.

  • Clear and professional communication skills, with comfort interacting with internal teams and suppliers.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and willingness to learn government procurement, terms negotiation, and source to pay system.

  • U.S. citizenship required

The employee is required to meet a hybrid schedule - come into the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $61,402 - $77,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
