Job Description

USSTRATCOM is a Command is responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It supports Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. Contract personnel will provide key components to ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT & AV services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

HOW A WYSE/WINDOWS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Manage the operation, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines and their management consoles (Teradici, Wyse Management Suite (WMS), 10Zig Management Console)

  • Provides multi-disciplinary support for mission system services, including life cycle management, engineering, integration, and sustainment of required systems and assured connectivity across geographically separated locations

  • Verify system performance after hardware and software installation

  • Manage product/service issue resolution and upgrades

  • Handle the administration and support of print services

  • Diagnose technical problems, escalate unresolved issues according to established procedures, and suggest potential alternative courses of action

  • Enhance and maintain training & planning documentation and validates recovery capabilities through periodic testing, including targeted recovery tests that are conducted throughout the year.

  • Develops and maintains technical documentation, including manuals, drawings, system specifications, installation records, calibration data, service level agreement compliance, and quality control information

  • Collaborate effectively with team members while providing friendly, efficient and professional customer service in support of DoW customers in a demanding environment

  • Performs shift work as required to ensure 24X7 coverage and support

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or BS/BA, 3+ years of experience

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving

  • Aptitude and initiative to learn existing and new technical concepts

  • Ability to respond to emergency situations with after-hours support

  • Knowledgeable of DISA STIG requirements for Windows based workstations

  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

  • Required Certifications: Security+ required; ability to obtain ITIL 4 Foundation within 9 months of hire

  • Location: Offutt AFB, NE

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
