Job Description

GDIT is seeking an AV/VTC Systems Technician to support the Regional Support Center at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. This role requires an active Secret clearance and travel throughout Southwest Asia and Africa. The technician supports US Army operations by maintaining and operating audiovisual, video teleconferencing, and related networked systems.

Meaningful work and impact:

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV and VTC systems, including secure/non-secure sessions and bridge operations.
• Maintain, configure, and integrate AV/VTC hardware and software (Cisco/Tandberg, Polycom, BIAMP, matrix switchers, fiber components, etc.).
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and infrastructure issues.
• Perform system maintenance, upgrades, inspections, backups, and documentation.
• Provide user support, training, and technical guidance, including for senior/VIP personnel.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Support installation of AV components such as switching devices, converters, and displays.
• Coordinate with third‑party maintenance providers.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and performance metrics.
• Participate in special projects and may provide work leadership to junior technicians.

What you’ll need to be successful:

Education & Experience BA/BS or equivalent, plus 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Active U.S. Secret clearance.
• Valid passport with 2+ years remaining and 6 blank pages.
• 3+years of VTC operations experience.
• Experience with Polycom and Cisco/Tandberg VTC systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications • Comprehensive knowledge of VTC troubleshooting, system integration, and AV hardware/software.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Strong verbal/written communication and spreadsheet skills.
• Experience working in austere or hostile environments.
• CTS certification and customer-facing support experience.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $94,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
