Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Network Engineer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Network Engineer Senior joining our team to install, operate and maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot any issues and quickly remedy the problem.

 

HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to complex problems

  • Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks

  • Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability

  • Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed

  • Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks

  • Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks

  • Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experience

  • 3+ years of related experience

 

Security Clearance Level:

  • Active Secret clearance required to start and must be able to obtain TS/SCI

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals


Preferred Skills:

  • CCNA

 

Location:

  • On Customer Site

  • US Citizenship

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
