HOW A LAUNCH BASE MISSION INTGRATION LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Launch Base Mission Integration Lead is the point of contact for the definition, coordination and integration of launch requirements. Areas of responsibilities include:

  • Development of mission unique requirements and derived requirements identification
  • Monitoring and verifying all launch vehicle and satellite vehicle interface requirements including satellite vehicle transportation and processing requirements
  • Support includes an understanding of the launch services contract requirements and Launch Systems Integration Contractor (LSIC) integration service contract requirements to manage ECP incorporation, including change definition, contract modification technical evaluation, and launch operations planning and execution.
  • Requires close coordination with the SV Program, LVC, OL, Range, Comm Service Providers, and other associated contractors and organizations
  • Requires a working knowledge of launch communication infrastructure, architecture and components, including multi-system communication verifications, characterize and isolate voice communication anomalies, and lead trouble identification and resolution of voice networking, video distribution, Compunetix and direct voice lines.

Launch Mission Integration tasks include:

  • Provides space vehicle to launch vehicle integration, manifesting, and launch expertise 
  • Provides Launch mission management process continuity across the Launch Enterprise
  • Supports Launch Mission Management interface with internal and external divisions, agencies and contractors
  • Generates reports and presentations for launch enterprise internal and external reviews
  • Manages coordination process for planning and readiness meetings
  • Monitor and assess fleet wide issues affecting mission assurance
  • Assists in the development of consistent mission certification requirement process
  • Provides support to mission managers for launch certification activities
  • Assists in the development of launch and mission integration requirements in support of OSL MRM process
  • Reconciles launch requirements against mission execution plans
  • Fosters collaboration with external launch partners and organizations
  • Attend Launch Scheduling/Manifest Meetings as required
  • Support each OSL launch campaign, throughout the launch process, by ensuring the availability of necessary Mission IT infrastructure and services as driven by satellite program and OSL requirements, including NOPS launch requirements
  • Support Pathfinder or Trailblazer activities as required
  • Manage the requirements baseline throughout the campaign utilizing the Move ­Add-Change process (MAC) as required
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years space launch experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
  • Ability to deliver effective briefings/presentations/papers on complex topics for audiences that may be large and/or include high level decision makers
  • Substantive experience providing risk assessments and risk-management recommendations to program managers
  • Expert knowledge of the mission integration process, to include experience working launch vehicle to space vehicle interfaces, including mechanical, electrical, mission analysis, launch and SV environments, ground operations, space vehicle transportation and processing, launch readiness, mission interface verification between the LV and SV
  • OSL or government launch experience a plus


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
● Required Experience: 5+ years space launch experience
● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with polygraph
● Location: Cape Canaveral, FL 
●US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $127,075. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
