Job Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Senior Product Manager supporting the Defense Health Agency Operational Medical Systems (OPMED).  GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career.

Our work depends on a Senior Product Manager utilizing their project management expertise to ensure our client’s medical solutions, including preventive treatments, drugs, diagnostics, hemorrhage control, and battlefield pain management, transition from advanced development and into the hands of the military medical providers on the battlefield.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Provide product management support to the assigned medical products
  • Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPT), Working Groups (WG), and In-Progress Reviews to include scheduling meetings, facilitating collaboration among all stakeholders, preparing agendas and related documentation, developing meeting minutes, and tracking action items
  • Utilize working knowledge of the DoD 5000 acquisition medical product development and PPBE processes to prepare or support the documentation development of Life Cycle Cost Estimates, Single Acquisition Management Plans (SAMP), and Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs)
  • Support the development of integrated master schedules and identify, assess, and mitigate programmatic risks and issues
  • Lead all major initiatives to advance product development and associated activities
  • Assist with programmatic and technical document review, market research, and vendor site visits/demonstrations
  • Support clinical trial protocol development and prepare documentation that complies with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements
  • Independently coordinate, draft and finalize responses for review
  • Develop and/or review information papers, acquisition documentation, protocols, etc.,  when necessary to support assigned products
  • Successfully communicate with personnel at various echelons through the use of effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Manage and track numerous, diverse, simultaneous efforts and have the ability to effectively prioritize requirements for multiple on-going projects in support of the product team
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science field
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience and at least 5 years in project management
  • Required Technical Skills:  DoD 5000 Acquisition experience with preparing acquisition documentation for the advance development of medical products
  • Security Clearance Level: Not applicable, however must be clearable for a T1 Public Trust
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Exceptional communication, writing, and project management skills for developing documentation and collaborating with diverse teams. Adept at cross-functional teamwork and engaging multiple stakeholders. Ability to execute using Microsoft Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook
  • Preferred Skills: Master's degree
  • Location: Fort Detrick, Maryland - Hybrid (2 days telework)
  • Travel:  Occasional Travel is required (10%)
  • US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $129,605. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
