With a globally distributed team aligned with each combatant command, US BICES-X plays a vital role in supporting the warfighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and highly motivated professional eager to tackle real-world challenges within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the lifecycle of a global multiplanar backbone and data center fabric, ensuring maximum service availability through rigorous hardware/software management and proactive system maintenance.
  • Lead and enforce the integration of ITSM processes via ServiceNow, ensuring that incidents, service requests, and configuration changes are consistently documented.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Configuration Management Database (CMDB), tracking rack elevations, port maps, and IP assignments for audit readiness and system accuracy.
  • Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, encryption devices, and related hardware, adhering to global infrastructure standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity issues to maintain enterprise-wide data flow, ensuring service availability for critical operations.
  • Implement and enforce configuration standards, including STIG compliance audits and proactive risk mitigation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform high-level designs into operational physical and logical network infrastructure.
  • Provide mentorship and technical support to mid-level and junior team members, instilling best practices and enforcing operational discipline.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and rapid restoration procedures to maintain network resilience and reduce downtime.
  • Monitor network performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks, enhancing data traffic flow and ensuring mission-critical capacity.
  • Manage hardware logistics, including RMAs, vendor coordination, and spare parts inventory to minimize repair times.
  • Serve as an on-call escalation point, delivering timely resolution of infrastructure issues.

Required Qualifications
