HOW AN EXERCISE PLANNER AT EAB WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Plans, coordinates, and executes unit collective training at echelons ranging from Brigade Combat Team to Corps to 4-Star JTF.
Leads and partners with a cross functional team of both contract staff and government experts to plan, coordinate, and resource complex training exercises in the live, virtual, and constructive training domains.
Assists unit leadership / training audience in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training.
Incorporates emerging Mission Command technologies (MAVEN, TAK, WINTAK etc) into the operational design of large-scale complex training exercises.
Serves in a mentorship or observer/controller role when requested.
Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).
Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs Responsible for creating higher headquarters OPORDs and, when necessary, may be called on to represent Division or higher headquarters for Brigade and below collective training.
Perform other duties as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: BS/BA; U.S. Army MEL IV qualified or equivalent ILE; MEL I preferred
Required Experience: Retired Field Grade Officer; 12+ years of related experience; Joint military experience preferred
Required Technical Skills: Technical expertise in the Joint Event Life Cycle; demonstrated proficiency and understanding of MC systems; Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of Army and Joint training programs; Expert knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP); knowledge of and experience with emerging mission command technologies (MAVEN, TAK, WINTAK)
Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
Required Skills and Abilities: Superb presentation and communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on JELC requirements and training objectives; Must be able to lead a planning team to create a high fidelity, realistic training event in a Live, Virtual, and Constructive environment to meet customer requirements
Location: On Customer Site / moderate travel required to other customer sites throughout AoR

The likely salary range for this position is $72,877 - $98,599. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
