Job Description

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Cyber / Zero Trust Lead to build infrastructure for the USSF Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) in Colorado Springs, CO.

NOTE: This is a proposal position and considered a Key Personnel (KP) role on the program. Award is expected in Summer 2026.

Position Summary: 

The Cyber / Zero Trust Lead for USSF OTTI serves as the senior cybersecurity authority responsible for architecture, implementation, and governance of cybersecurity, Zero Trust, RMF, and compliance strategies across the OTTI ecosystem. This role ensures OTTI’s distributed test and training environments maintain mission assurance, security compliance, and resilient cyber posture across enterprise and edge deployments. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Cybersecurity Architecture 

  • Define OTTI cybersecurity architecture and Zero Trust implementation roadmap.  
  • Architect secure enclave, identity, network, and data protection strategies.  
  • Integrate security into OTTI cloud, platform, data, and synthetic environment architectures.  

RMF / Compliance / ATO Support 

  • Lead RMF, ATO, and continuous ATO/cATO implementation activities.  
  • Ensure compliance with DoD/USSF cyber requirements, STIGs, and security baselines.  
  • Support eMASS/Xacta/CORE and related compliance tooling/processes.  

Security Operations / Monitoring 

  • Implement monitoring, logging, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response integration.  
  • Support cyber readiness and resilience of distributed OTTI nodes.  

Technical Leadership 

  • Serve as cybersecurity SME to Government and Program Leadership.  
  • Mentor cyber/security engineering personnel.  
  • Conduct security architecture reviews and risk assessments.  

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.  
  • 10+ years cybersecurity engineering/architecture experience.  
  • 5+ years leading Zero Trust / RMF / DoD cybersecurity programs.  
  • Experience supporting secure/classified environments.  
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.  

Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting USSF / SSC / STARCOM / DoD Cyber Programs.  
  • Familiarity with:  
  • DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture  
  • RMF / NIST 800-53 / CNSSI 1253  
  • cATO / DevSecOps Security Automation  
  • SIEM / SOAR / EDR / XDR Platforms  
  • Identity / PAM / PKI / Cross Domain Solutions

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $169,604 - $229,464. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
