Job Description

Support mission-critical initiatives and enable the growth of our business as a Solutions Architect at GDIT. Here, you’ll become an integral part of how GDIT is able to ensure the safety and security of our nation.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Solutions Architect, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our intelligence customer in Chantilly, VA. You will play a crucial role in driving customer success by applying innovative and emerging technologies to solve real business challenges.

  • Identify advanced solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyze alternatives based on trade space, and implement designs.
  • Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and propose changes and tailoring where needed.
  • Assess the system and business process architecture currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain established service design procedures and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies.
  • Prepare and present test plans, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.
  • Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives, and conduct product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Solutions Architect Principal must have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • Experience: 10+ years of related experience
  • Technical skills: Broad understanding and experience in integrating hardware (desktop, server, storage, etc.), software (COTS, GOTS, full stack development), cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI/ML (agentic AI, LLMs, RAG, GPUs and model training / hosting), data (structured/unstructured, ETL, RDMS, lake technologies, etc.), and networking (switching, routing, firewalls, etc.) in multi-OS environments.
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
  • US citizenship required
  • Role requirements: Works independently under limited supervision, strong documentation and communication skills, strong user interaction and business analysis skills, DoD 8570 IAT II Certification

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
