Job Description

GDIT is looking for an Electronics Engineer for our Bethesda, MD location.

  • Perform electrical system design to include printed circuit board design and simulation ( ex Altium, Eagle, LTSpice) and conduct diagnostic testing in support of troubleshooting efforts.
  • Develop software and/or firmware to support hardware communication and testing (Matlab, Python, C, C++)
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance, inspection, and hardware rework on various electronic components and assemblies  (Work and rework of cable assemblies, through hole and surface mount printed circuit boards).
  • Generate, update and maintain comprehensive system documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Prepare and execute component test plans. Perform data acquisition, processing, and signal analysis to evaluate hardware performance.
  • Conduct benchtop diagnostic testing, signal analysis, and root-cause analysis and troubleshooting on mixed-signal hardware using standard lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
  • Controls and acoustics experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to support customer projects is desired.

Requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET Accredited Institution.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in electronics design, testing, or hardware maintenance.
  • Experience with data acquisition (DAQ) hardware and signal processing/analysis.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
