What You’ll Achieve

GDIT is seeking an experienced Chief Systems Architect to lead the technical architecture, design, and modernization of mission‑critical collection systems supporting a high‑visibility national security customer. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical authority, ensuring all architectural solutions meet Sponsor requirements while guiding the development and documentation of cloud‑based collection capabilities. Your leadership will shape the technical direction of the program and drive innovation that enhances mission agility, security, and effectiveness.

This role is ideal for a senior architect who thrives on modernization at scale and wants to directly contribute to mission outcomes while developing and mentoring elite engineering teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead end‑to‑end technical architecture for advanced cloud‑based collection capabilities aligned with Sponsor mission requirements.
  • Guide technical design decisions, set architecture standards, and integrate emerging technologies to support modernized collection environments.
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of architectural documentation, including system interfaces, integration patterns, and technical standards for secure, scalable mission delivery.
  • Champion innovation and optimization across solution design, development, and deployment to improve mission agility and performance.
  • Provide authoritative technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring coherence across cloud, data, API, and service layers.
  • Partner with mission stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate operational needs into compliant architectures.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies—including AI, ML, and advanced cloud services—to enhance mission‑specific collection capabilities.
  • Brief senior technical and mission leadership on architectural strategies, tradeoffs, and recommended approaches.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • 7+ years of architecture experience designing, developing, and documenting cloud‑based collection capabilities and services.
  • 5+ years of experience driving innovation and optimization in collection system design, development, and deployment.
  • Demonstrated expertise with AI, ML, and cloud computing to architect and lead secure, agile, and mission‑effective collection solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of OSINT‑specific architecture experience, including design, development, and documentation of cloud‑based collection capabilities.
  • Proven knowledge of modern cloud technologies, AI, and ML to support advanced OSINT‑focused mission solutions.
