Job Description

GDIT has an opportunity for a growth-oriented and execution-focused Vice President to join our team leading FAA and Department of Transportation (DoT) programs within the Federal Civilian Division. The FAA and DoT programs support a variety of IT programs focused on delivering full-service enterprise infrastructure, digital modernization, engineering and professional services, cloud enablement, applications development, unified communications and cybersecurity. The Vice President, FAA and DoT will have full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility to win new business and to deliver existing work. This leader will oversee a portfolio worth over $100M+ annually, and will report as one of the key operating program areas to the GDIT Sector Vice President and General Manager.

Specific Responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the portfolio and set the strategic and operating plan for the FAA and Transportation programs.

  • Lead a team of 6 direct reports and a broader organization of 260.

  • Perform financial management with profit and loss responsibility for the portfolio, with the responsibility to meet or exceed financial targets.

  • Provide customer and technical oversight of the portfolio, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and superior service delivery.

  • Drive growth in collaboration with the Sector and Division resources; deliver a strong book-to-bill, re-compete wins, and YoY new business growth.

  • Ensure alignment with Sector, Division and Company strategy and objectives.

  • Manage and optimize an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development.

  • Develop a short- and long-term growth strategy with related tactical execution plans that will drive top line and bottom-line growth for the team.

  • Build and manage an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development.

  • Engage the leverage services arm of the company to bring our capabilities in cloud, infrastructure, applications development, AI/ML and related services to existing and potentially new clients.

  • Reinforcing the GDIT culture through accountability, curiosity and learning, results and impact, and positive energy.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or related discipline, plus 10+ years of Enterprise Program Management experience.

  • 10+ years progressive experience in managing/leading IT and/or professional services program portfolios within FAA and Department of Transportation Agencies.

  • Experience running a portfolio of programs of at least $50M in annual revenue.

  • Proven success in winning new contracts.

  • Proficient technical acumen including AI, Cyber, Mission Solutions, etc.

  • Established, hands-on experience managing programs of significance with execution, operations and financial focus.

  • Demonstrated experience building strong customer relationships within the Transportation community.

  • Strong understanding of proposal development and evaluation process that can translate into developing winning strategies and proposals for new business.

  • Track record of success in building and managing a robust pipeline.

  • Demonstrated experience liaising with senior aviation/transportation clients and organizations such as ATCA, NATCA, PASS, or ICAO.

  • Ability to travel locally and within the CONUS with potential for OCONUS travel.

  • Travel:10-15%

  • Track record of motivating and energizing the team while keeping pace in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Location: Hybrid to Falls Church, VA with a minimum of 3 days a week in office or on client site.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $215,467 - $270,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
